Please read these Terms of Service (the "Terms") carefully before using the TaxC website and application (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
1. The Service and Your Account
TaxC provides users with tax calculation tools and educational eBooks/PDF reports related to Nigerian tax regulations.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (email and password).
- You agree to notify TaxC immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
2. Disclaimer: Not Financial or Legal Advice
You must verify all figures and information with a qualified professional or the relevant tax authority (e.g., FIRS) before submitting any official tax filings. TaxC is not responsible for any financial penalties, losses, or incorrect tax filings resulting from the use of our Service.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
All content included in the Service, such as text, graphics, logos, calculator code, and the E-Books and PDF reports you purchase, are the property of TaxC or its licensors and are protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws.
3.1 License to You
When you purchase an eBook or report, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for your personal, non-commercial use only.
3.2 Prohibited Actions
You are strictly prohibited from:
- Reselling, redistributing, or sub-licensing any purchased eBooks or PDF reports.
- Uploading TaxC content to publicly accessible websites or file-sharing services.
- Modifying, reverse-engineering, or creating derivative works from the Service or its content.
4. User Conduct and Responsibilities
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms, including:
- Submitting false or misleading information.
- Attempting to interfere with the Service's infrastructure or security.
5. Payment, Refunds, and Cancellation
Payments for eBooks and reports are processed securely via our trusted payment processor, Paystack. We do not store your payment card details. Due to the digital nature of our products (instant access to downloadable reports and eBooks), all sales are generally final. TaxC reserves the right to determine if a refund is warranted under exceptional circumstances.
6. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach the Terms, particularly concerning Intellectual Property or User Conduct.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Nigeria to resolve any legal matter arising from these Terms.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice (e.g., via email or prominent notice on the Service) before any new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
