We take your privacy seriously at TaxC.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum data needed to provide you with a fast, secure, and personalised experience:

Full name or first name – to address you properly in the app, emails, and with tax professionals.
Email address – required for account creation, passwordless login, purchase receipts, and important notifications.
Account creation & last login timestamps – for security monitoring and protecting your account.
Purchase history – which eBooks and tax reports you bought, date, amount, and download links.
Email verification status – whether you have clicked the verification link we sent.
Policy & Terms acceptance versions – record that you accepted the current Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We do NOT collect or store: BVN · Bank accounts or card details · Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) · Home or office address · Date of birth · Any payment information (all payments are processed securely by Paystack).

1.1 Bank Statement Imports and Financial Data

If you choose to use the Tax Tracker bank statement import feature, you may upload a bank statement file (such as PDF).

These files may contain financial transaction information including transaction dates, amounts, and transaction descriptions. TaxC processes this information solely to:

Extract and display your transaction history
Help categorize income, expenses, and deductions
Assist in estimating taxable income

TaxC does not access your bank account directly and we do not request your banking credentials.

Any financial transaction data extracted is used only within the Tax Tracker feature to provide tax tracking functionality.

2. How We Use Your Data

We only use your information to:

Create and secure your TaxC account
Send you passwordless login links and account-related emails
Deliver the eBooks and tax reports you purchased
Let you access your library from any device or browser
Notify you about new products or important service updates (you can unsubscribe anytime)
Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Provide responses through the TaxC AI tax consultant trained on Nigerian tax regulations.

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

All your data is securely stored on Google Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) with:

Encryption at rest and in transit (HTTPS + Google-managed keys)
Strict access controls — only automated systems can read your data when needed
Regular backups and security monitoring
Full compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR)

4. Your Rights Under NDPR

You are in full control of your personal data:

Right to access – see all data we hold about you
Right to rectification – correct any inaccurate information
Right to deletion – permanently delete your account and all data
Right to restrict or object to processing
Right to withdraw consent at any time
